ABOUT BARLOW STUDIOS

We are a small independent studio that makes a few masks a year.

The people who sculpt and paint them come from film and effects work, 
and that is the whole reason the masks look the way they do. The depth 
in the paint, the way the skin catches the light, the details most masks 
get wrong. Those are habits you pick up making things that have to hold 
up on camera.

We work slowly. Every mask is painted by hand, so no two come out 
exactly alike, and we only put out a small run each season. When one 
sells out, it is done until the following year. We would rather run out 
than make more of something worse.

There are two ranges. The FX range uses movie-grade material and covers 
the head and neck for a second skin fit. The Classic range is high 
quality latex, pulls over the head, same face for less.

That is it. If a mask is not right for you, you have thirty days and you 
do not need to explain yourself. If it turns up damaged, we sort it out 
the same day and we will not ask you to post it back.

What makes Barlow Studio masks different?

Our masks are created with a focus on strong character sculpting, close-up detail, and a complete wearable transformation. Each piece is individually hand-finished by experienced FX artists, so subtle variations in paint and finish are part of what makes every mask unique.
Does the mouth really move?

Yes. On masks featuring our moving-mouth design, the mouth moves as you talk for a more lifelike effect. This feature is available on selected styles and will be clearly stated on the product page. Exact movement may vary depending on face shape and fit.
Will the mask fit my face?

Our Soft FX masks are made from flexible, face-contouring material that adapts naturally to most adult face shapes, creating a close and realistic second-skin effect.
Are your masks released in limited quantities?

Yes. Barlow Studio produces small seasonal batches, and restocks are not guaranteed. When a limited run sells out, that design may not return during the same season.
What is your return policy?

Every order is covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied for any reason, email us at contact@thebarlowstudios.com within 30 days of delivery and we will help arrange your return and refund.
Will I receive tracking information?

Yes. A shipping confirmation email with your tracking link will be sent as soon as your order ships. Please allow a short period for the carrier to scan the package and display the first tracking update.
How do I choose my costume size?

Choose your usual US clothing size. If you are between two sizes or prefer a roomier fit, we recommend selecting the larger size.
Is US shipping free?

Yes. Standard shipping is free on all US orders.
